Message from the ASA President
On behalf of the Council of the Asian Surgical Association and the Organising Committee of the 20th Asian Congress of Surgery led by Congress President, Dr Albert Chan, it is my pleasure to extend a personal invitation to you to join us from 11-13 September 2015 in Hong Kong.
This 20th Asian Congress of Surgery promises to be a special event as it will be held in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee Congress of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong as they celebrate their 25th Anniversary this year.
Hong Kong holds a special place for many of us, and aside from being a significant member of the Asian Surgical community, is also home to the secretariat for the Asian Surgical Association. It is certainly opportune for us to be able to renew friendships and ties as well as celebrate a very special and auspicious occasion for the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong.
The theme for this year’s Congress is 'Surgery for Tomorrow Asia' and focuses on how to achieve excellent outcomes in surgery under limited resources as faced by many surgeons from Asian countries. This will certainly be an important meeting and forum for us as we explore ways of advancing surgical care for our people.
We look forward to welcoming you in Hong Kong at the combined 20th Asian Surgical Congress and Silver Jubilee Congress of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong.
